The Journey

Our daughter has gown up quite a bit in the last year. I love the way she calls me Appa and the way she hugs my legs when she is in good mood ( which by the way is rare ) .I don't know what she likes about me, she loves Sahana a lot. Pranathi loves her grandparents, Saanvi and Attey and Mama. She seems to enjoy everyone's company. She spoke late but once she started speaking she has been speaking quite a bit. She seems to be Intelligent and Stubborn and street smart. This can be attributed to Satrun in 2nd house. She urinates a lot, I dont have a clue why.

Well bit of history, when I was younger , lets say in my mid 20's. I remember looking at the phone a lot. Not that I loved the phone so much. I was waiting for some girl to respond to my messages or calls. This meant a lot of time spent looking and waiting for the phone to ring.  Last 2 days have been like that , I have woken up multiple times in the middle of the night to check for calls or messages .... this makes me remember the 24 something me. Sahana has traveled to US on 22nd August. Her first trip , I am very exited for her. I even imagined me being happy , not having to squabble over small things. But I am missing Sahana's company more than I thought I would :). I know this is a short trip and Sahana will be back in no time. This trip is important for Sahana's career.

We have put a lot of sweat and hard earned money towards constructing our new house, hope we stay there long enough and enjoy our stay as well. It has taken us 2 years to reach this point. I have to write down what I remember. SITE  I remember the first time when Arun told me about site 601. There were 2 sites for sale, one was priced close to 4000 per sqft and another site for 3700, the second site was a dead end site, I was ok with the dead end site. Arun agreed look at the second site itself since it was priced slightly less. This was site 601. One fine Sunday when Dad was visiting us , me Arun and Dad went to see the site. We spoke to the broker, offered him 50rs per sqft if the price was brought down to 3500. That worked, thanks to Dad for that Idea :). Then the process of talking to the owner over phone and securing money for advance started. Since the owner was based in UK much of the conversation happened over email of phone. He agreed to visit us in a couple of week...
