Yamaha YZF R15 was launched in 2008 June. I was in states around this time. This launch had made me spend a lot of time reading the Yamaha India website about the bikes characteristics. I was totally impressed by its looks , other bikes which have made me read so much are the FZ 16 and Duke. Fast Forward to 2010 : I bought a HH Karizma R, Karizma is a good bike with good city driveablity , great highway manners, decent braking. This bike used to burn a hole in my pocket with a meager mileage of 22 - 25 kmpl. To put this into perspective my Ford give me 17ish on highways and and it has a1300 cc engine. Karizma is 225 cc and it would give 1.25 times the mileage of Ford. Economics of using this bike for long drives are insanely skewed up. Hence, I had no choice but to let go. I sold it in 2011.
