The Journey

I have to start this blog with a astrological reason on why we travel so much. I am running Chandar dashed ( 9th Lord ) Shukra Bukit ( 7th Lord) from July 2016. This last year i.e June 2016 to Aug 2017 has been a year of packing bags, boarding flights , checking into new hotels and running :) The Astrological combinations aid in the travel. But when I read my blog today I see that I have been traveling a lot for the past 15 years ;). This may be because I have Mars ( lagnadipathi ) in 12th house which indicates money spent on travel. Inspired after watching an Italian movie ‘The Olive’ , I was feeling good, all I could think of was our grandparents house in Hassan. How can we save it ! I have very fond memories of the house ( Ajji Mane ). The house was big enough to accommodate 6 children and 10 grand children at one time. This house was built for the British officers in Hassan, according to my grandmother it was built in early 1900. It is a large 4 bedroom , mangalore tailed house. The house has a servant quarters , open air veranda , large garden in the front. Every vacation I would search the kabbinada petite , library bearow for small nick knacks from older times, I was never disappointed. I have found old reading glasses, light switches , harmonium box, Medals earned by the previous generation, old story books, rat poo ;). Other intriguing things in this house were the wood burning stove to heat water, well in the servant quarters, sandle wood box in the hall, Huge Jewelry box that ajji used to open and...

Things I love in life are Dad, Mom, Wife , Sister , Kids. This is a moving equation.  I wonder how my relation with my kids will evolve over time. Time changes everything in life. I have to say time moves lives in mysterious ways that humans can’t understand.   I always wanted a son, It was a surprise to have Pranathi first, I love Pranathi more than anyone. I have seen her horoscope , she has shani in her 2nd house . This means she will be average in communication ,  she will only have moderate amounts of money (never more ), average looks. I am guilty of trying to control Pranathi’s future (as I was allowed to decide time of birth ). Dressing to this topic , time of birth …. someone asked me I don’t know why parents chose the time of birth based on Nakshara and Rashi ! I have tied to answer this in my mind ( I could not respond instantaneously with a logical answer ) Rich parents give their kids money, farmers give their kids land, Doctors give their kids ...
